First Dog Show a success!

On 24th September, a Companion Dog Show was held to raise funds for Clwyd Special Riding Centre. We ran two rings: one for pedigree classes and one for novelty classes. The novelty classes included classes called ‘dog with the waggiest tail’ and ‘children’s handling’. The pedigree classes were judged by Mr Steve Jones who is a Kennel Club judge and the fun classes by one of our regular vets, Mr Bryan Hallows.

It was a fun family day with side stalls which included micro chipping and veterinary dog health checks; cakes and drinks were provided by the W.I., centre trustees and volunteers.

There was a demonstration to music during the day by Maggie Jarman who has previously performed at Crufts.

The event raised £1268 for the centre’s funds. Huge thanks to everyone who made the day the success it was.
