| Lady Rosamund Gladstone:
President of the Trust |
 |
Involved with the RDA for approximately 28 years, I
have been a Group helper and organiser. I was the County and the Regional
Chairman and have worked with RDA National in various capacities including
chairing the holiday committee. Ran my first holiday in 1978 at our home and
have continued to run holidays every year since. Since we bought the Centre
I have run National holidays there for adult riders from throughout the UK
and in 2001 from Russia with riders from Hong Kong in 2002. Hobbies?
Not a lot of time for hobbies! The ever increasing number of grandchildren
(13 and more to come) take up my 'spare' time. Big house, big garden, big
family! |

Mrs Jill Walton:
Chairman of the Trust |
 |
I have been a Trustee of the Special Riding Centre
since 1996. Before
that I had been District Commissioner of the Wynnstay Pony Club for
four years and until
more recently worked part-time in our family jewellery business. For recreation I
love walking my two dogs, play
tennis and bridge, do a lot of needlework and can't resist crosswords. I am also
the very proud granny of
five grandchildren. The
Clwyd Special Riding Centre is a very special part of my life. |

Group Helper |

I am a wife and mother of 2 children aged 10 and 4
years old. We live in Hanmer surrounded by horses, sheep, pigs and dogs. We
all like the outdoor life and I also try to do some gardening. I also work
part time for a friend's pub outside Shrewsbury. I started helping with the
RDA in Glasgow in 1990 and have since been helping the Dyffryn Ceiriog Group
at the Clwyd Special Riding Centre on Thursdays for about two years. |

| Mrs Pat Green: Parent
of RDA Rider |
 |
Pat Green is married to Charles with 2 daughters,
Annabella and Deborah. Annabella rides with the Wrexham Group RDA at the
Clwyd Special Centre. Pat and her family has 2 horses of their own, which
she and Deborah ride. They also have 2 black labradors, and all share a
great love for animals and the countryside. |

| Mr Robert Thompson: Retired Farmer
(but
busier than ever!) |
 |
Robert Thompson is a farmer who found that milking
a large herd of dairy cows had become not only a bureaucratic and financial
nightmare, but also allowed insufficient time to assist at Llanfynydd - so
the cows had to go! The frustrations of recalcitrant planning officials and
absent builders, are, however maintaining the stress levels this year. The
workforce's winter food - haylage, has every prospect of a good vintage. All
in all, the privilege of working alongside such dedicated and inspiring
trustees, staff and volunteers makes it all worthwhile. Retired he may be,
but he has never been so busy! |

We came from Ireland to North Wales to live in
the family home in 1981. I was involved with an RDA group in Co.
Kildare during the 70's; I am now a Volunteer with the Hope Mountain
group. I was also involved with the Pony Club both here and in Ireland.
Now I am kept busy running a Guest business in partnership with my sister-in-law.
