Welcome To The Clwyd Special Riding Centre Website!
Clwyd Special Riding Centre situated in Llanfynydd near Wrexham in North Wales is a registered charity run by a group of volunteers. Every week it welcomes over 200 people of all ages with special needs who benefit from the pleasure and stimulation of riding, carriage-driving and equestrian vaulting. This unique Centre also provides residential riding holidays for groups of people with special needs from all over the UK and abroad.

The Wrexham Group RDA is seeking new volunteers on a Monday afternoon or a Thursday evening. The time has come to tackle all the jobs we never seem to have time or the manpower to do during normal weeks. We need volunteers, please, to help with all manner of jobs, such as brushing, cleaning and painting the boards in the indoor arena, gardening, window cleaning, cobweb removal etc, the list is endless. The Rhos Male Voice Choir is holding a concert in aid of Clwyd Special Riding Centre on Saturday 9th May, 2015, at All Saints' Church, Gresford. By very kind permission of Rev. Canon Tudor Hughes. Doors open at 6.30pm and the concert starts at 7pm. Tickets are £12.50 each and are available from the Centre's office. The admission price includes a glass of wine during the interval. Bertie is a 14.2hh black gelding ready for a new home - he enjoys hacking/driving and would like to find a home where he can continue this work. On Saturday 24th Jan, 2015, an afternoon of bingo was held at Llay Royal British Legion to raise funds for the Centre. The afternoon was organised by the mum of one of Wrexham Group RDA's young riders and we are very grateful for this support. Our annual Christmas Fair raised a fantastic £7245.20 for Centre funds. Thank you so much to everyone who helped to set up, man the stalls, turned up to spend money and cleared up at the end of the day. It was a very busy couple of days for everyone. Your support is essential to the success of this event, our biggest fundraiser of the year. Thank you all, once again.
