Welcome To The Clwyd Special Riding Centre Website!

Clwyd Special Riding Centre situated in Llanfynydd near Wrexham in North Wales is a registered charity run by a group of volunteers. Every week it welcomes over 200 people of all ages with special needs who benefit from the pleasure and stimulation of riding, carriage-driving and equestrian vaulting. This unique Centre also provides residential riding holidays for groups of people with special needs from all over the UK and abroad.

Hawarden Castle Gardens Open

On Sunday 12th May, 2013, between 1.30pm and 5.00pm, the beautiful gardens at Hawarden Castle will be open. There will be plants for sale, strawberry and cream teas and this year there will be the added attraction of Medieval crafts at the Old Castle. All proceeds are for the Centre. Applying to ride, drive or vault?

All 23 of our special horses are used for RDA sessions. The welfare of our horses is the first priority when they are selected for use. They must be at least 5 yrs old, sound and fit for the work required of them. They are all trained for riding and some are trained to carriage drive and equestrian vault. Reg'd Charity No 1073708. Chris, of Hope Mountain RDA, is hosting a 'Songs from the Shows - Champagne and Chocolate' afternoon on Saturday 20th April, 2 - 5pm. Tickets will be on sale in March, at a cost of £5.00. Do try to go along to support Hope Mountain RDA, you will have a wonderful afternoon and will be helping a very worthwhile cause.
